The Celtic Warrior has been around in WWE for a long time and recently signed a new contract. Sheamus is one of the most dangerous opponents in WWE, and it’s unfortunate to see him linger in the mid-card for most of his recent years.

He could enter the men's Elimination Chamber and possibly win the contest to become Gunther’s next opponent. The win at the PLE would elevate him and make him a worthy opponent for The Ring General.

The two men have already traded many big fights in the past, and they could put on another banger at WrestleMania 41. Triple H could give Sheamus his flowers by finally allowing him to defeat Gunther and win the World Heavyweight Championship.

#3. Goldberg could finally fight Gunther

Over the past few months, rumors have been running wild on the wrestling internet. One such rumor involves a potential match between Gunther and Goldberg for the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE has already teased tensions between the two stars, and the story is there to be told. Unlike Logan Paul, who has a long way to go in his career, Goldberg is nearing retirement.

A quick match against The Ring General could see Goldberg take the loss to retire while giving his opponent a good rub. Gunther could then continue his reign and claim to be the most dominant star in WWE history.

The Greatest of All Time returned to WWE on RAW’s Netflix premiere to kick off his retirement tour. John Cena cut a promo where he name-dropped Gunther.

John Cena Sr. also believes that the two men could have a great match together. Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, he noted that the two men would do well to compliment each other’s style.

"I think you have two young men in there. John [Cena] is still young. Two different styles. Gunther, if you look at his style, is more Greco-Roman. He's right in there, does those smart wrestling span moves. John is more of, get in, do his thing and get the win. I think it'd be very interesting. I think they would compliment each other. I think that would be one heck of a competition."

WWE could save the big match between the two stars for WrestleMania 41. The story could be there as Cena is looking to win his 17th world title. He could lose to The Ring General to give him a good rub and cement him as the top World Heavyweight Champion.

RAW has some top stars, and CM Punk is one of the best the business has ever seen. Gunther could face the veteran instead of Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41.

There are a few reasons why Punk would be a better opponent for The Ring General. Firstly, the match itself could have the power to draw bigger numbers than a match between Gunther and Logan Paul.

Secondly, CM Punk could win the title and get back on top of the company. That could take his rivalry with Seth Rollins to the next level, as the two men could dance with the title on the line to make things more interesting.

Following his return, WWE reportedly plans to award Punk a world title. A WrestleMania headlining match would complete his bucket list, and a big win would be perfect for The Best in the World.
