4 reasons why Jade Cargill must return to WWE SmackDown tonight
Jade Cargill has been absent from WWE television for over a month. The former AEW star was the victim of a heinous attack by a mystery assailant on the November 22 edition of WWE SmackDown. Bianca Belair eliminated herself from the Women's United States Championship to go check on her tag team partner backstage.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis launched an investigation to find the culprit of the mystery attack but has found nothing so far. Naomi has since replaced Cargill in the tag team with Belair, and the duo successfully defended the Women's Tag Team Championship against Candice LeRae and Nia Jax last month on the blue brand.
Listed below are four reasons why Jade Cargill must return during tonight's episode of SmackDown.
#4. Bianca Belair has moved on without Jade Cargill on WWE SmackDown
Bianca Belair was seemingly determined to find out who attacked Jade Cargill when it first happened, but her interest has appeared to dwindle on SmackDown. Naomi has replaced Cargill in the tag team and dedicated their victory over LeRae and Jax last month to the former TBS Champion.
Belair has been accused of being the one who attacked the 32-year-old, and she is not helping her case by moving on so quickly from her tag team partner. Cargill could return on SmackDown tonight to confront Belair and may reveal that she no longer wanted to be in a tag team with her.
#3. Jade Cargill has not appeared on SmackDown in 42 days
Jade Cargill was brutally attacked on the November 22 edition of SmackDown and slammed on top of a car by an unknown assailant. The attack happened 42 days ago now, and there has been very little done on SmackDown to keep the fans invested in the storyline.
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently highlighted the issue with the company taking so long to provide another chapter in the storyline. The legend wondered if Cargill was injured in real life due to how long the angle was taking to develop on SmackDown.
#2. The veteran could cost Naomi her WWE Women's Championship opportunity
Nia Jax is scheduled to defend her WWE Women's Championship against Naomi tonight on SmackDown. The Irresistible Force won the Queen of the Ring tournament last year and went on to defeat Bayley at WWE SummerSlam 2024 to become champion.
If Jade Cargill knows Naomi was responsible for her attack, she must return on tonight's edition of SmackDown to interfere in the major title match. Cargill could cost Naomi her chance at the title and reveal that she knows it was her later tonight on SmackDown.

Both Naomi and Bianca Belair have been accused of attacking Jade Cargill on WWE SmackDown. Nia Jax recently pointed out how quickly The EST moved on from her tag team partner, and it may have caused some fans to suspect the 35-year-old of betraying her tag team partner. Jax has launched accusations at Naomi as well.
If Jade Cargill knows it was not Belair or Naomi who attacked her, she should return to WWE SmackDown tonight to clear the air. The former AEW champion may show up on the blue brand tonight to reveal that neither Belair nor Naomi attacked her and potentially reveal the true identity of the culprit.
