A major WWE Superstar seemingly teased a character change today on social media. The promotion is set for the debut episode of RAW on Netflix tomorrow night.
Giovanni Vinci used to be a member of the Imperium but was betrayed last year. Ludwig Kaiser unleashed a brutal attack on Vinci on the April 22, 2024 edition of RAW and the faction left him behind. Vinci has since moved to SmackDown but has not been seen on the blue brand since he was defeated by Apollo Crews last September.
The 34-year-old took to social media today to share an interesting three-word message. His message seemingly hinted at a character change, and you can check out his post below.
"Reset. Rewrite. Regain. #Gladiatore," he wrote.
Imperium's leader Gunther is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. The Ring General successfully defended the title against Finn Balor and Damian Priest last month in a Triple Threat Match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
Wrestling veteran Konnan recently suggested that Giovanni Vinci could have backstage heat in WWE and that is possibly why he was not being featured on SmackDown.
Speaking on Keepin' It 100, the legend speculated that Vinci could have backstage heat in the company and that was why he wasn't being used. Konnan noted that the promotion usually does that to a star when they are not happy with their actions behind the scenes.
"It's usually that [Giovanni Vinci has heat or he did something WWE told him not to do], it's usually that. You've got heat, and they're not going to use you. They're not going to push you anymore. So, who knows what he did," Konnan said. [From 1:01 to 1:09]

The company aired several vignettes ahead of Giovanni Vinci's return on SmackDown, but he wound up being squashed by Apollo Crews in seconds on the September 6, 2024, episode of the blue brand. Crews also defeated the former Imperium star in their rematch two weeks later, and Vinci has not been seen on television since.
Only time will tell what the future holds for the former NXT Tag Team Champion.
