Major star missing during Rhea Ripley's match; wrestling veteran explodes over WWE's huge mistake (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Rhea Ripley's match on RAW. She faced Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship.

The constant interference from Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio proved to be ineffective as Rhea Ripley battled Liv on RAW. The former Judgment Day member destroyed Morgan with successive Riptides to win the title. After the match, she even hit Mysterio with a low blow as retribution for his betrayal.

On the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo pointed out that the Archer of Infamy should have come out to even the odds when Raquel Rodriguez and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio started interfering in the matchup. He mentioned WWE was promoting Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest as Terror Twins for weeks, and this was the best way to have Priest on the show.

"You've got Rodriguez out there, you got Dom out there. They're interfering in the match, the ref's letting them stay out there. Weren't the Terror Twins a thing a couple of months ago? Why would you not get Damian Priest on the show that way?"

The veteran writer also added that Priest's presence on the show would attract more casual viewers.

"You want to get new views. I see a guy like Damian Priest, I'm interested in that guy. What a wasted opportunity, man!" [54:20 onwards]

Damian Priest is scheduled to appear next week on RAW. Priest will face his former Judgment Day partner-turned-rival Finn Balor in a singles matchup.
