WWE NXT will air tonight and it is going to be one of the biggest shows in the brand's history. For starters, the event will be held in California in front of a sold out crowd with multiple championship matches.

Trick Williams will be putting his coveted NXT Championship on the line against Eddy Thorpe and Oba Femi in a Triple Threat Match. Additionally, Giulia will battle Roxanne for the NXT Women's Title. Still, the biggest hook for the show was revealed last night.

The Rock is set to make an appearance on NXT. This is absolutely shocking news, as he is a far bigger star than those who typically appear on the program. The Final Boss revealed the news during RAW last night and on social media.

Now many are wondering what The People's Champion will do. This article will take a look at a handful of things The People's Champion might do on NXT New Year's Evil tonight.

Below are four things The Rock can do at WWE NXT New Year's Evil.

#4. He could attack Eddy Thorpe for Thorpe's issues with Ava

Eddy Thorpe has had an unexpected rise on WWE NXT. He was a mid-card babyface for quite some time, but recently turned heel and became a whiny, arrogant, and downright annoying heel.

One of his biggest targets has been NXT General Manager Ava. Be it grabbing her arm, getting in her face, or attempting to lie to and manipulate her, Eddy has been routinely messing with the daughter of the WWE legend.

The Rock is likely well aware of how Eddy has been treating his daughter and may show up on NXT to "layeth the Smacketh Down" on the Native American star. Thorpe receiving a Rock Bottom out of nowhere would be an incredible moment and sweet revenge for Ava.

#3. The Rock could offer Trick Williams a WWE RAW contract

Trick Williams is one of the most entertaining and charismatic stars in all of WWE. He is currently on the NXT brand where he holds the NXT Championship, his second tile holding the coveted belt. He is also a former North American Champion.

In an interesting bit of advertisement, Trick Williams has routinely been featured in promos hyping up WWE Monday Night RAW on Netflix. This is surprising to some, but it may mean that he will soon be called up to the main roster.

With The Rock appearing on NXT, he might address the reigning NXT Champion and offer him a main roster contract. This would be an epic moment and one that would give Trick a lot of momentum ahead of moving on up to the red brand and Netflix.

#2. He could introduce a new Bloodline

The Bloodline saga may be reaching the end of an epic run. Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa to win back the Ula Fala and become the Tribal Chief once again. With The O.G. Bloodline doing their own thing and The New Bloodline's future in doubt, this could be it.

Alternatively, a new chapter could be beginning. When The Rock appears on WWE NXT, he might introduce the start of a new Bloodline faction. This one would use talent already signed to developmental and maybe even a name or two not yet picked up.

Hikuleo and Lance Anoa'i are two stars already signed to WWE who can represent a new Bloodline. Meanwhile, Zilla Fatu, Sean Maluta, or even Thamiko Fatu could be signed to help make the revamped faction more dominant. From there, they can try to take over NXT before doing the same on the main roster.

#1. The Rock could announce NXT EVOLVE

WWE fans were disappointed with recent news revealing NXT Level Up has been discontinued. Level Up served as both NXT's b-show and a place for up-and-coming talent to show off and develop their skills before joining NXT full-time.

LFG will be replacing Level Up, which is a good opportunity for some talent, however, it is ultimately more of a reality show for A&E than a standard wrestling show. Thankfully, rumors have come out that WWE will be introducing NXT EVOLVE, which should help talent develop moving forward.

When The Rock shows up on NXT, he might use his role as a real-life authority figure in the company to officially announce the new brand. The Rock has more eyeballs on him than anyone, so by doing this, it would create far more buzz than anyone else making the announcement.

It would be logical, especially if the show is truly launching within the next month or so. The news needs to be out there sooner rather than later.
