CM Punk made his triumphant return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 after being fired by All Elite Wrestling. The 46-year-old got into a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All Out that same year and was let go by the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Punk is one of the biggest names on the company's roster and will be competing in a massive match during WWE RAW's debut on Netflix next month. The veteran joined Roman Reigns' team for the WarGames Match at Survivor Series last month and helped guide the OG Bloodline to victory over Solo Sikoa's team.

At 46 The Best In The World could be looking to end his career in the near future. For that purpose, we will look at a few names with whom the veteran could have a retirement match when the time comes.

Listed below are five retirement matches for CM Punk in WWE.

#5. Roman Reigns could retire CM Punk from WWE

CM Punk agreed to team up with Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline last month at Survivor Series in exchange for a favor from Paul Heyman. The Wiseman has not revealed the favor yet, but Punk could inform him soon that he wanted his final match to be against Roman Reigns.

Punk and Reigns have not gotten along in the past, but the two megastars shook hands following their victory last month at Survivor Series: WarGames. Heyman may inform Reigns down the line that Punk wanted to end his in-ring career in a dream match against him.

#4. Seth Rollins could end Punk's career

CM Punk and Seth Rollins have been involved in a rivalry since the 46-year-old returned to the company. The Visionary threw a fuss when the former AEW World Champion returned at Survivor Series last year.

Rollins and Punk were rumored to clash at WrestleMania XL, but Punk tore his triceps during the Men's Royal Rumble Match and was unable to compete at The Show of Shows. The Visionary and The Second City Saint are scheduled to battle on RAW's debut episode on Netflix on January 6, 2025.

WWE could be planning to have the two stars compete against each other multiple times, and Rollins may serve as the legend's final opponent down the line.

#3. Jeff Hardy could return for a retirement match against Punk

CM Punk and Jeff Hardy had an epic rivalry for the World Heavyweight Championship back in the day. Both stars had disappointing runs in All Elite Wrestling, and The Hardy Boyz are currently the reigning TNA Tag Team Champions.

Jeff Hardy recently disclosed that he would love to come back to WWE and potentially retire CM Punk before being inducted into the Stamford-based promotion's Hall of Fame. The company could pull the trigger on those plans and have The Charismatic Enigma reignite his rivalry with Punk to retire the latter.

#2. Stone Cold Steve Austin could return for a dream match against CM Punk

Stone Cold Steve Austin and CM Punk never had a singles match during their legendary careers as WWE Superstars. The Rattlesnake returned at WrestleMania 38 to defeat Kevin Owens in an impromptu bout.

Punk could make it known that he will not retire from in-ring competition until he gets to square off against Austin. This could lead to Stone Cold challenging the veteran to a retirement match at a future WWE WrestleMania event.

#1. The Final Boss could be Punk's last opponent

The Rock defeated CM Punk at Royal Rumble 2013 to capture the World Heavyweight Championship and then defeated him in their rematch at Elimination Chamber the following month to retain the title. The Brahma Bull has not been seen on WWE television since his surprise appearance in the closing moments of Bad Blood in October.

The Final Boss had a staredown with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes after they defeated The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a Tag Team Match at Bad Blood. The Rock could be angry at Punk for agreeing to team up with the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series last month, and could potentially target the former AEW star in the future.

Punk versus The Rock is a dream match for many fans, and it would be a great way for the veteran to end his in-ring career.
