A major WWE Superstar celebrated her championship victory from Saturday Night's Main Event on this week's SmackDown. However, Chelsea Green was nearly brought to tears after Michin aka Mia Yim, interrupted the segment on last night's show.

The Hot Mess made history at SNME on December 14, 2024, defeating Yim to become the inaugural Women's United States Champion. WWE celebrated Green's historic victory with a special segment on the December 27, 2024, edition of SmackDown, honoring her first-ever singles title win in the company.

Despite securing the Women's US Title with some help from Piper Niven, Green claimed full credit for her victory. Later, Michin interrupted the celebration, attacking the former WWE Tag Team Champions with a kendo stick.

During a post-show SmackDown Exclusive interview, Chelsea Green, nearly in tears, asserted that it was her moment as the champion and would not tolerate such actions. Piper Niven followed by delivering a chilling message to the former member of The O.C. faction:

"It was my moment, my moment. I'm the champion, President, no, no [almost cries]," said Green. "The United States Champion and the first lady will not settle for this. [You - Michin] made very powerful enemies, very powerful enemies for life," said Niven.

Ex-WWE writer slams Chelsea Green's segment on SmackDown

As previously mentioned, the Canadian superstar was given a full-fledged celebration segment for her Women's US Championship victory. However, Vince Russo criticized the way the creative booked Chelsea Green's title celebration.

Speaking on BroDown on Backstage Pass, Russo slammed WWE's booking of The Hot Mess, noting the inconsistency in their attempts to portray her as a babyface while also giving her heelish lines in her recent segment with Piper Niven:

"Well, this was weird Mac, because they're begging Chelsea Green to be babyface and they wrote this with Chelsea being the heel and Piper Niven being the babyface. When when when she dissed Piper Niven. Like I'm this was so a** backwards. They did nothing to help Chelsea," he said.
