Jade Cargill was attacked this past Friday night on WWE SmackDown and slammed on top of a car in the parking lot by a mystery assailant. The former AEW star was scheduled to compete in the Women's WarGames Match at Survivor Series next weekend but that no longer appears to be the case.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are the reigning Women's Tag Team Champions and have held the titles for 85 days so far. However, The EST may have to find a replacement for Cargill to defend the titles in the weeks ahead.
Listed below are four WWE stars who could possibly replace Jade Cargill as Women's Tag Team Champion:
Bayley recently revealed that she was excited to have Jade Cargill in WWE's women's division, but secretly could be growing jealous of the former AEW star behind the scenes. The Role Model may suggest herself as Cargill's replacement, as a way to become a champion once again.
The former leader of Damage CTRL lost the WWE Women's Championship to Nia Jax at SummerSlam and then came up short once again in her rematch at Bad Blood last month. Bayley and Bianca Belair are former rivals but could agree to work together to defend the Women's Tag Team Championship moving forward, if they can med their fractured relationship.
Naomi is currently scheduled to compete alongside Bianca Belair in the Women's WarGames Match at Survivor Series 2024 on November 30. The veteran challenged Nia Jax for the WWE Women's Championship on the November 15 edition of SmackDown but was defeated. Belair and Naomi are friends on the blue brand and have competed alongside each other several times in recent weeks.
The 36-year-old may approach Belair this week ahead of WWE Survivor Series and reveal that she would be willing to help defend the Women's Tag Team Championship with her. Belair and Naomi could potentially lose the titles, leading to tension with Jade Cargill when she returns to action.
Charlotte Flair has still not returned to action since suffering a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus on the December 8, 2023, edition of SmackDown. The veteran may be planning on returning soon, and the attack on Jade Cargill has presented a unique opportunity.
Cargill was also scheduled to compete in the tournament to crown the inaugural Women's United States Champion. Flair could return this week and inform SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis that she would replace Cargill as Women's Tag Team Champion if she could also replace the 32-year-old in the Women's United States Championship tournament.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are in their second reign as Women's Tag Team Champions. The duo defeated The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) at Bash in Berlin to become champions once again.
Belair may believe that she is capable of defending the Women's Tag Team Championship on her own. The EST could suggest that she defend the titles without Cargill following the attack, and her over-confidence may cost her. If she loses the titles without Big Jade being involved, it may lead to the popular duo breaking up when she returns to WWE television.
