This Friday's edition of WWE SmackDown is shaping up to be a very eventful show. It will be the first episode of the blue brand following Crown Jewel 2024 this past Saturday night in Saudi Arabia.
Jey Uso invited Sami Zayn to appear on this week's SmackDown to have a conversation with Roman Reigns after the veteran accidentally hit him with a Helluva Kick at the premium live event over the weekend. Nick Aldis also might have to take action against two SmackDown stars after they were unable to control themselves at Crown Jewel.
Listed below are five twists that could happen on this week's episode of WWE SmackDown.
Kevin Owens is now a heel on SmackDown and was supposed to battle Randy Orton at Crown Jewel in a singles match. Triple H told The Viper that he didn't want to book the match because he wanted to protect Orton from Owens on the October 25 edition of SmackDown. However, the Chief Content Officer eventually gave in to The Legend Killer's demands and made the match official for Crown Jewel.
Instead of having a match, Orton and Owens decided to brawl in Saudi Arabia until security was able to break them up. The Apex Predator caught RAW General Manager Adam Pearce with an RKO out of nowhere as Nick Aldis fled the scene. The SmackDown General Manager may decide that he must take action and suspend both Orton and Owens during this Friday's show.
Bayley and Naomi competed as a tag team this past Friday night on WWE SmackDown and defeated Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. It was Indi Hartwell's last match in the promotion, as the 28-year-old was released by the company last week.
The Role Model and Naomi could issue a challenge to Women's Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair this Friday night. Cargill and Belair successfully defended their titles in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match at WWE Crown Jewel this past Saturday.
LA Knight defeated Andrade and Carmelo Hayes in a Triple Threat Match at Crown Jewel to retain the United States Championship. The Megastar pinned Carmelo Hayes in the match to extend his title reign.
Andrade may decide to attack the 42-year-old on SmackDown since he was not the one pinned during the match at the premium live event. The former AEW star is the current WWE Speed Champion but likely feels that he could dethrone Knight if given another opportunity.
Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax have been in an alliance for months on WWE SmackDown. However, The Irresistible Force could blame The Buff Barbie for getting involved in her Crown Jewel Championship match against Liv Morgan at the premium live event. Morgan was able to defeat Jax after The Judgment Day interfered.
Stratton holds the Money in the Bank contract and could potentially decide to betray Jax on SmackDown and cash in for a shot at the WWE Women's Championship. Another possibility is that Nia Jax decides to attack the 25-year-old on the blue brand, resulting in a babyface turn for Stratton.
The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga defeated Roman Reigns and The Usos in a six-man tag team match at WWE Crown Jewel. Solo Sikoa shockingly pinned Reigns during the match to earn the victory for his faction. After the match, Sami Zayn tried to hit Sikoa with a Helluva Kick but wound up leveling The Original Tribal Chief by mistake.
On this past Monday's episode of RAW, The Usos had a conversation with Sami Zayn. Jey Uso invited the former Honorary Uce to SmackDown this Friday to have a conversation with Reigns. The former Intercontinental Champion could potentially be setting a trap for his faction and may choose to betray them on SmackDown.
