John Cena and Dave Bautista are two of the top names who have paved the way for WWE Superstars in Hollywood alongside The Rock. A two-time WWE champion is hoping to make it big on the silver screen after entertaining fans with his in-ring performance.
Titus O’Neil has been a top name in the Stamford-based promotion for over a decade. He is regarded as one of the most philanthropic superstars of all time and is currently a Global Ambassador for WWE.
While speaking on The Business of the Business podcast, Titus O’Neil was asked whether he plans to return to the ring someday.
"I do get the itch to get back in the ring, I love competing. I love entertaining, but as I said in previous interviews, if there’s an opportunity that works well for me to do so, yeah, we’ll definitely do it, but I’m literally getting ready to do two or three other film projects," Titus O'Neil said. The 47-year-old went on to add that his real aim was to make it big in Hollywood like many other top stars. He named John Cena and Dave Bautista as two of the men who are helping him get better in the industry after taking a lengthy break from in-ring competition.
"I already did two film projects that will be coming out in 2025. I do desire to have a high level of success in Hollywood, much like my fellow WWE stars that have made that jump, including one of my best friends who got me into the business, Dave Bautista. I am really excited about that process. I have some great people to follow, I have some great people to lean on in John Cena and Dave Bautista, to ask questions and to get kind of the best practices to help me on this journey, much like I would pick the brains of many of the veterans when it came to wrestling, I do the same thing, and fortunately, I have a lot of people that are already in Hollywood that are friends of mine that can kind of help me continue developing in that journey," Titus O'Neil said. There are no updates on whether Titus O’Neil will return to the ring down the line as of this writing. However, the 47-year-old does seem to be bagging a few roles on the silver screen that could make him a top draw someday.
2025 will be a massive year for WWE fans as John Cena will return for his "Retirement Tour" right in time for RAW's debut on Netflix. The Chain Gang Soldier has proven that he is a master at entertaining fans in whatever field he ventures into.
Cena announced his "Retirement Tour" several months ago, and fans are still not ready to bid farewell to him. However, it will be good to see John get a proper send-off in 2025 as he is regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
John Cena’s comeback could spark Dave Bautista’s return for a final feud between the two men down the line. However, it looks like The Animal is content with the final match he had against Triple H at WrestleMania 35.
