Several top WWE Superstars are expected to compete in the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match. Former 24/7 Champion Peter Rosenberg recently predicted the winner of the anticipated match.
This past Monday on RAW, John Cena brought up his losing streak as a singles competitor. The Franchise Player said that he does not deserve a world championship shot currently, adding that it would be almost impossible for him to win his 17th world title. However, Cena pointed out that he could win the Men's Royal Rumble to earn his shot at WrestleMania, officially announcing his participation in the gimmick match.
Speaking on his Cheap Heat podcast, Rosenberg disclosed that he now believes The Leader of the Cenation would win the Men's Royal Rumble for the third time in his career. Notably, The Doctor of Thuganomics has previously won the gimmick match in 2008 and 2013.
"I mean, I'll tell you what, today really made me believe John Cena wins that Royal Rumble," he said. [36:04-36:08]
On his Cafe de Rene podcast, former WWE Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree was asked by a fan whether John Cena should win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match. The 41-year-old agreed with the fan.
The former WWE Superstar pointed out that The Leader of the Cenation has been the face of the Stamford-based company for many years. Hence, he deserves to win the upcoming Men's Royal Rumble.
"Well, you know WWE is an enigma. It's a worldwide brand. Who's been the face of that company longer than Cena? It wasn't Ric Flair. So, yeah, I think he should [win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble] honestly," he said.
On Cheap Heat, Rosenberg suggested Cena could later dethrone World Heavyweight Gunther before dropping the title to Jey Uso. It will be interesting to see if these predictions come true.
