Tonight's episode of WWE RAW was a busy one. Adam Pearce needed to make some big decisions. So much happened that one of the biggest moments of the evening happened off the air.
Moments before WWE RAW began, Pearce took to the ring to present a brand new title. The red brand's general manager introduced the Women's Intercontinental Championship, which will be exclusive to Monday nights. This comes a few weeks after Nick Aldis introduced the Women's United States Title on SmackDown.
Adam Pearce further revealed that a tournament to crown the inaugural Women's Intercontinental Champion will begin next week. Once the announcement was shown on WWE RAW, he took to his official X handle to send a simple three-word message about the situation.
"It is official," tweeted Adam Pearce.
It will be interesting to see who is crowned the first-ever Women's IC Champion. WWE RAW's women's division has a crowded midcard, which affords many superstars a huge opportunity to win a title.
The likes of Dakota Kai and Zoey Stark might be among the front-runners to win the tournament. Meanwhile, on the SmackDown side, Bayley and Chelsea Green have already qualified for the Women's United States Championship Tournament semi-finals.
