Bret Hart is never afraid to share his honest feelings about Bill Goldberg. In an exclusive interview, Gage Goldberg revealed what he thinks about The Hitman taking digs at his father.
In 2000, Hart retired from wrestling as a result of a concussion he sustained against Bill Goldberg at WCW Starrcade 1999. In recent years, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer has repeatedly blamed his former opponent for causing the injury. He has also described the WCW legend as a "gorilla" with a "0/10" work rate.
Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, Gage Goldberg urged Hart to move on from the incident:
"We don't really like to talk about that a lot but, I mean, you gotta let things go, one hundred percent, and you can't just keep harping on this one thing when someone's successful. Stuff happens." [0:48 – 1:04]
Watch the video above to hear Gage Goldberg discuss several topics, including the challenges he faces as the son of a high-profile wrestler.
On October 5, Gage Goldberg watched from ringside as Gunther berated his father's parenting and wrestling skills during an in-ring promo at Bad Blood. The former Universal Champion looked set to confront The Ring General before security and Sami Zayn got involved.
Amid talk that his father could face Gunther, Gage Goldberg gave a brief prediction of what fans can expect:
"I honestly don't [know], I couldn't even tell you. All I know, there could be a Spear and a Jackhammer and someone's getting pinned." [2:17 – 2:26]
Bill Goldberg recently announced he will retire from in-ring competition in 2025. He has not wrestled since losing to Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
