A top WWE star and member of the OG Bloodline recently revealed that he had issues with CM Punk in the past. Sami Zayn opened up about his relationship with The Second City Saint a year after his return at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023.

Punk and Zayn have a history that dates back to their pre-WWE days, which also involved Kevin Owens. Speaking on WWE Playback on YouTube, the former Intercontinental Champion rewatched last year's WarGames Match, with Punk returning at the end.

Zayn explained that he had some "underlying" and "unresolved" stuff with the former WWE Champion. They ended up talking about their issues, which seem to have been resolved because the most important thing is giving the fans the best product available.

"I think there was still some weird underlying stuff with Punk and I, which, you know. … I think it's pretty well documented that he's an interesting character, who's had his ups and downs with most people, both in the ring and backstage at various points, if you've known him a long enough time. So I think there was just some unresolved stuff between he and I, and we hadn't spoken in how many years at this time, so seeing him back at first was like, 'Huh? Okay.' But we eventually ended up talking on whatever issues that were out, and it is what it is. It kinda doesn't matter what I think. If you look at those people, they're all jumping out of their seats and that’s all that really matters," Zayn said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

Sami Zayn and CM Punk are set to team up at Survivor Series: WarGames this Saturday as the OG Bloodline takes on the new Bloodline.

CM Punk lands role in TV show outside WWE

One of the perks in WWE under Triple H is that talents are allowed to pursue outside projects such as shows and movies. Several superstars signed with talent agencies, including CM Punk, who is set to appear in a television show on SyFy.

According to Variety, Punk will have a recurring role in the horror TV series called Revival. It's based on the comic book series of the same name created by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton for Image Comics. Production has reportedly started, and it's being shot in New Brunswick, Canada.

Revival is scheduled to be released next year, and the main cast includes Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, Andy McQueen, and Steven Ogg.
