CM Punk joining The OG Bloodline was not WWE's initial plan; massive star was replaced, says veteran
CM Punk will be the fifth member of The OG Bloodline in the Men's WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo predicted that another top superstar was initially set to fill in that spot.
The OG Bloodline struggled to find a fifth member for a few weeks. Sami Zayn and The Usos even approached Seth Rollins twice but he turned them down. When Bronson Reed joined The New Bloodline and Solo Sikoa cost Rollins his match against the powerhouse on RAW, many believed The Visionary would finally agree to become the fifth member of Roman Reigns' team.
However, that did not happen. Instead, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman returned after nearly five months of absence to reveal CM Punk as the team's final member.
Speaking on his The Brand podcast, Russo disclosed that he believes WWE CCO Triple H's initial plan was to have Rollins as the fifth member of The OG Bloodline before changing directions:
"Remember last week when [Sikoa] stood on the desk and Rollins looked over and got distracted and that's how he lost to Bronson Reed? So, Stevie, I put out a tweet and I said in the tweet because I was saw so disgusted with that, I said, 'Does Triple H write this show with a Crayon?' I said, 'Okay, so because Solo stood on the desk and made Seth lose, now Seth is gonna be the fifth man on the babyface team. Bro, I know they saw that tweet and I'm telling you, I'm convinced that's why CM Punk was put in that spot," he said. [From 08:03 to 08:45]

Will Seth Rollins cost the OG Bloodline the WarGames match at the WWE Survivor Series?
During a live Q&A on Backstage Pass, senior journalist Bill Apter addressed the upcoming Men's WarGames match between The OG Bloodline and The New Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series.
Apter predicted that Seth Rollins would interfere in the square-off and cost The OG Bloodline the match:
"I think yes. I think CM Punk and Roman Reigns are not going to exisit very well [in WarGames]. I think, somehow, Seth Rollins is gonna come in... I don't know how he'll get inside the cage... maybe he climbs from the top [they always do]. But he wants Bronson Reed and [I think] he is going to interfere and cause a whole mess, where Roman Reigns' team is going to lose... because of Rollins," he said.
It would be interesting to see if Apter's prediction will come true and whether The New Bloodline will come out on top this Saturday.
