A former WWE Women's Champion and WWE Women's Tag Team Champion recently shared a heartwarming story about working with the late Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes. The name in question is Leilani Kai.
Rhodes and Kai were active wrestlers during the 1980s. While The American Dream was recognized for his work by World Wrestling Entertainment with a Hall of Fame induction in 2007, The Hawaiian Princess was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame in 2006.
On X (fka Twitter), the 67-year-old female WWE legend recalled a memorable mixed tag match she wrestled against Dusty Rhodes. Leilani Kai described her character in the bout as a heel, constantly taunting and evading the three-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
The match concluded with a dramatic sequence, where the late Dusty Rhodes finally caught her and executed a powerful Bionic Elbow, leaving a lasting impression on Kai.
"Once upon a time, I did a mixed tag match with Dusty Rhodes. I was the heel and taunted, poked & ran from him all match. He never got his hands on me, until the end. He caught me, spun me around and gave me a Bionic Elbow. I flew. It was one of my favorite finish that I ever did," she wrote.

Ted DiBiase Sr. and The American Dream had a legendary feud from 1989 to 1991. Recently, The Million Dollar Man responded to a fan's question on X (formerly Twitter).
A recent social media post asked fans to choose their favorite "Big Man" class of wrestlers. The pool included Dusty Rhodes, Bam Bam Bigelow, Rikishi, King Kong Bundy, Andre the Giant, Earthquake, Vader, and Mark Henry.
Ted DiBiase Sr. unequivocally named Dusty Rhodes as the best over other legends mentioned in the list.
"Hands-down, no better than Dusty Rhodes, The American dream!!" he wrote.

Paul Heyman recently praised Dusty's son and the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The Wiseman claimed The American Nightmare has surpassed his father's legacy in the pro wrestling business.
Only time will tell how long Cody Rhodes will hold the title. The Road to WrestleMania 41 is set to commence following the premiere of RAW on Netflix. Cody will likely have to deal with some major obstacles before he can make it to The Show of Shows.
