A former WWE star has boldly proclaimed he could have been bigger than John Cena had he made the right choices in life. Jeff Hardy, who's a beloved legend in his own right, thinks he should have adopted a better lifestyle in his heydays.
During Cena's prime years as WWE's top babyface in the late 2000s, Hardy had carved out a place for himself as a risk-taker whom the fans adored. However, it's safe to say he never reached the popularity enjoyed by The Leader of Cenation. This can be attributed to The Charismatic Enigma never staying in WWE for a sustained time, with multiple stints in TNA in between, including now.
In a recent interview, the clip of which was shared by his brother Matt Hardy, Jeff addresses his run in the wrestling business. The former WWE Champion confessed that had he maintained a much more disciplined lifestyle, he could have been an even bigger name than John Cena in the Stamford-based promotion:
"The way I was living in my 20s and 30s, if I was living life the way I'm living now, oh my gosh there's telling. I would probably be bigger than John Cena today because I was born with such a gift to be a pro-wrestler," said Jeff Hardy. (0:08 - 0:25)

In a recent episode of his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, Mantell opened up about who Cena could be facing at WrestleMania 41. The former WWE manager believes Gunther would be the right opponent for The Leader of Cenation and he thinks the latter could put over The Ring General at The Show of Shows:
"I think Gunther would be a good one. I think John [Cena] needs to do the honors. I don't think he'll have a problem doing that," Mantell said.
John Cena has also been confirmed for Royal Rumble 2025 next month, where he will enter the much-awaited Men's Rumble match as a frontrunner to win.
