According to recent reports, both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair seem to be on the verge of returning to WWE, with fans anticipating one of them to even win the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble match. However, an ex-WWE Superstar feels that neither Lynch nor Flair will win the match. Rather, former 24/7 Champion Piper Niven will surprise the world by winning the rumble.
Royal Rumble is right around the corner and the WWE Universe has already started predicting the winners of the highly-anticipated match, who get to punch their ticket to WrestleMania.
During a recent edition of the Rebooked Wrestling podcast, Aiden English addressed the potential winner of the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble match and stated that Piper Niven could do the unthinkable to make headlines around the world.
The former WWE star added that Niven could win the rumble and go on to challenge the Women's United States Champion or the Women's Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania, putting the spotlight on the newly introduced titles.
"Solely because I think - I don't think this will really, really happen - but I think a fun thing with the introduction of the women's midcard titles could be this: Again, nobody would do this, but given the length of time Piper and Chelsea have been together, and to really put some importance on that US Title, use that Royal Rumble win to cash in on a US Title shot at, like, a WrestleMania. (...) So, that's my outside pick that I think would be a fun story to use the Rumble to add spotlight to one of those new titles," stated Aiden English. [1:16:09 onwards]
While Becky Lynch might not end up winning the Royal Rumble upon her highly-anticipated return, her return feud is reportedly confirmed. As per recent reports from Ibou of WrestlePurists, The Man will have her rematch against Rhea Ripley soon.
With Mami holding the Women's World Championship now, Becky Lynch challenging her at WrestleMania is quite a possibility. However, with earlier reports of WWE planning a Triple Threat match for the title, Lynch vs. Ripley might happen at a PLE like Elimination Chamber. Fans will have to wait and see what WWE has in store for the women's division once Becky Lynch returns.
