LA Knight is still your United States Champion. The SmackDown Superstar, who had a title defense on the blue brand only three days ago, appeared on the latest episode of RAW after the main event to defeat a former WWE champion for the eighth time in a row.

This past week on SmackDown, LA Knight had a successful title defense against a familiar old foe in Santos Escobar. The Megastar managed to overcome the leader of the Legado Del Fantasma after defeating Berto a week earlier.

After RAW went off the air this week, Knight defeated former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar for the eighth time in a row. Believe it or not, in their first five matches last year, Escobar won on all occasions. However, the next eight bouts, which include this one, have seen the reigning United States Champion emerge victorious against the 40-year-old star.

They have even had multiple televised matches this year alone. On SmackDown, Knight was on the receiving end of another post-match attack from a returning Shinsuke Nakamura.

Although little has been said, WWE ensured to add Knight vs. Nakamura for the United States Championship at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event. This adds to an exciting match card, where an Intercontinental Championship bout between Bron Breakker, Sheamus, and Ludwig Kaiser was also made official for the upcoming PLE.

It was a great win to keep Knight's momentum alive. Fans will now have to wait and see what's next in store for him.
