WWE Superstar Becky Lynch recently discussed her future in professional wrestling amid her current absence from television. The Man has not been seen on WWE programming since May 2024.
Following WrestleMania XL, Rhea Ripley was injured and had to vacate the Women's World Championship. Amid The Eradicator's absence, Becky Lynch capitalized on the opportunity and won the gold in a Battle Royal. However, she dropped the title against Liv Morgan at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event. She locked horns in a rematch with Morgan on the May 27, 2024, episode of RAW but failed to capture the title. Since then, Lynch has not been seen on TV.
Amid her absence from WWE television, many people have speculated that The Man might be done with wrestling. Her former rival, Liv Morgan has also mentioned multiple times that she retired Becky Lynch.
During an interview at the Vulture Festival, Lynch was asked about her future in pro wrestling. The former Women's World Champion revealed that she had been training for a half marathon and was working on other projects, so a return to WWE was unlikely at the moment.
However, Becky cleared the rumors of her retirement, saying she wouldn't hang up her boots after being in a spot with Dominik Mysterio, where he slammed the steel cage door on her face.
"You know, I'm training for this half marathon. And I've been working on some other stuff I can't really talk about. But like, if you think that the way I'm gonna go out after the career that I've had is with Dominik Mysterio slamming the door in my face. Well, that's probably not gonna happen. But when will I come back? I don't know, I've really been enjoying myself. And working on some projects that I'm very excited about whenever I get to share them with you. I think they're pretty awesome. Yeah, we will see what the future holds," she said. [57:34 - 58:34]

During an interview with Inside The Ropes, Liv Morgan said that she believed if Becky Lynch never returned to WWE, she would still be a Hall of Famer.
Morgan also praised The Man's in-ring and microphone work, before highlighting Lynch's contribution to women's wrestling.
"I think if Becky never comes back, I definitely think she is 100% a Hall of Famer. She has become a martyr for women’s wrestling and performance all around. She can do it all. She can deliver in the ring, she can deliver on the microphone. The crowd is compelled by her when she’s out there, not to mention what she stands for in women’s wrestling."
It will be interesting to see what Becky Lynch has planned for her future in professional wrestling.
