An ex-WWE star has revealed that a male star refused to be eliminated by Nia Jax during the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble match. Mustafa Ali stated that he agreed to get thrown out of the ring by the WWE Women's Champion during the annual free-for-all.
Jax attacked R-Truth during the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble match while he was making his entrance. She then entered the match, threw Mustafa Ali out, and was eventually thrown out by WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
In a new interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Mustafa Ali revealed that a WWE Superstar refused to get involved in the spot, and he ended up saying yes to it. Check out his comments below:
"I got a story. So, that spot wasn't originally for me. I don't know who it was for, but someone was not very much okay with getting eliminated by a woman, and I'm at this point where I'm trying to prove that, 'Hey, I'm pro's pro.' I'm down for whatever. I think it was Jamie Noble... because it was some sort of frantic search," said Ali.
He added:
"I looked at Jamie. I was like, 'What's the spot?' He's like, 'Man...' He looked at me, he goes, 'Would you be okay with it?' And I just go, 'Yep, What is it?' He goes, 'Well, Nia is going to beat up R-Truth, and then she's going to take everyone's finisher, but before she does that, I just need her to throw somebody.' And I don't know who the original person is, I really don't know. But I remember going like, 'God! That's like... a scripted show. It's fine." [1:05:24-1:06:18]
It's been five years since Nia Jax's Men's Royal Rumble outing in 2019. The WWE Universe talks about her spot in the match to this day.
The biggest moment from Nia Jax's three-minute stay in the ring during the free-for-all was Randy Orton hitting an RKO on her. The move received a massive pop from the fans in attendance, as Nia was one of the most hated stars in all of wrestling back then.
