Paul Heyman could betray Roman Reigns for CM Punk, believes WWE veteran, for major reasons

The reunion of Paul Heyman and CM Punk on last week's SmackDown has the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray discussed why he believes The Wiseman could turn his back on Roman Reigns.

The team of the OTC, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and Jey Uso was one member short for the Men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series. To even the odds against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline, Paul Heyman returned on the November 22, 2024, edition of WWE SmackDown. The legendary manager introduced The Second City Saint as the fifth man for the babyface team.

On a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray speculated that Paul Heyman might favor CM Punk and betray Roman Reigns, citing the latter's lack of a World Championship and his inability to control his family.

The WWE Hall of Famer theorized that The Wiseman could return to his "OG Paul Heyman guy" and prioritize his long-standing relationship with The Voice of The Voiceless over his alliance with the Original Tribal Chief.

"It seems very much right now that Paul Heyman and CM Punk are more on the same page than Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns. It seems as if Paul has once again done his flip-flop. Roman lost, Roman's no longer the champion. Maybe in Paul's eyes, 'Roman just ain't got it anymore, can't even control his own family, I'm going back to the guy [Punk] that I was with from day one. I'm going back to OG. You might be the OG Bloodline, but this is OG Paul Heyman guy,'" Ray said. [From 09:34 to 10:14]

Roman Reigns suspects Paul Heyman is hiding something after WWE SmackDown

After last week's Friday show went off the air, The Wiseman hugged The Usos and headed backstage without interacting with the OTC. The former WWE Universal Champion recently suspected Paul Heyman's potential ulterior motives.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Roman Reigns accused The Wiseman of shady behavior, dismissing speculation about his actions and asserting his clear future plans.

"Paul's [Heyman] been incredibly shady if you ask me. People ask... I've seen some of the speculation of, 'Well you know, you didn't answer his phone calls,' and all this and that, but at the end of the day when I take my leave, there's no question of what I'm doing," said Reigns.
