WWE Hall Famer Paul Heyman has finally broken his silence on his former client Brock Lesnar's potential return to television. The Beast Incarnate has been absent from the wrestling promotion for over a year.
The former WWE Champion's last in-ring appearance ended in a loss to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. He was reportedly set to enter this year's Royal Rumble Match. Unfortunately, the idea was scrapped after his name was seemingly alluded to in the Janet Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon.
WWE has been dropping Lesnar's name in multiple segments lately, making fans wonder if the 47-year-old is about to make his much-awaited return. However, during a recent interview with CBS Sports' Shakiel Mahjouri, Paul Heyman asserted that Lesnar would not make a television appearance in 2024:
"I don't really put any thought into that at this time because it's not a subject that is going to resolve itself by Survivor Series or by the end of the year. Therefore, it is not on the radar of things to address," he said. [From 22:40 onwards]
Earlier in the interview, Shakiel asked Paul Heyman if he spoke to Lesnar. In response, The Wiseman pointed out that the former UFC Heavyweight Champion dislikes discussions about his life off-camera.
The 59-year-old added that as a sign of his love and appreciation for Brock, coupled with the fear of The Beast, he would neither confirm nor deny anything related to Lesnar.
"When it comes to Brock Lesnar, Brock Lesnar doesn't like to be discussed about anything about his life that is off-camera. If I do speak to Brock Lesnar, he would want that to be private. If I don't speak with Brock Lesnar, he would want that to be private. And, number one, I would never want to violate his wish of privacy. And number two, I would fear for a human being that would want to violate the feeling of privacy that would be desired by Brock Lesnar. Based on both love and appreciation for the man, and a healthy dose of absolute fear of the man, I will neither confirm nor deny my knowledge of even the existence of a species on this planet that carries the name Brock Lesnar," he said.
