Rey Mysterio is easily one of the biggest legends of the business and has been mixed in a heated rivalry with Dominik Mysterio over recent years. When asked by WWE to choose a team for Survivor Series for himself, he had a few interesting names in mind.
The star has had a rather unhealthy relationship with his son, Dominik Mysterio, over the years. Dominik betrayed his father to join the Judgment Day, and ever since, the two of them have been at war with each other in an on-again-off-again rivalry. Thus, it was surprising that, when asked to choose stars for his dream Survivor Series team, Rey Mysterio named his son, as well as another legend of the past, Andre the Giant.
When asked about his team, Mysterio told WWE that he would like to team with Andre the Giant and Bret Hart and also bring back one of his biggest allies turned rivals, Batista. He picked Andre because he felt that although there was a startling difference in height between the two of them, it would work in his favor.
"My first pick would be Bret Hart, only because he is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. My second one will be Andre the Giant, and Andre the Giant just because I'm the smallest one on the team. So I need the biggest one on the team. Powerhouse. My third pick would be most definitely, I would bring the "Animal" Batista back, just because I need some power, I need some muscle, and I'll tell you, the time that Batista turned on me, it was not great. It was some of the darkest time of my life." (1:02 - 1:38)
Rey Mysterio also acknowledged that having Dominik Mysterio on his team would do him good as well, given how useful he would be.
"Last but not the least, I hate to say this, but I would have to pick the dirtiest player in the game, Dirty Dominik. I know that if we needed someone to take the fall, it would be Dirty Dom. It would be the mystery team." (1:39 - 1:57)
While Dominik Mysterio has continued the legacy of a WWE legend in the form of Eddie Guerrero, the dirtiest player in the game is the name of another WWE legend - Ric Flair.
Both Flair and Mysterio have used heel tactics at times to get where they are, but at the end of the day, Mysterio has more in common with Guerrero than Flair.
