Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes III could take place, says ex-WWE personality, with a major twist

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have been WWE's biggest stars in the past few years, and the two have teased a third match in the past. Recently, former Bump host Matt Camp said the trilogy could take place in the future with a major twist.

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes were in the main event of WrestleMania 39 and 40 and exchanged wins over each other in one-on-one bouts. However, their roles have stayed the same in both matches, as Reigns was the heel and Rhodes was the babyface.

Speaking on Busted Open, former WWE personality Matt Camp believes a third match will take place down the line and the roles will be reversed where Cody Rhodes will become a despicable heel and Roman Reigns will be the one to go up against him.

"Cody [Rhodes] Roman [Reigns] III is got to be a thing at some point. I think there's a hell of a feud for those guys flipping roles for where they were the first time around. Can you imagine a corporate Cody Rhodes as a champion where the power gets to his head too much and you bring in Brandi [Rhodes]? Here's wrestling's number one couple. This is the family and you out Roman on the other side as a babyface. There's money in that," Camp said. (From 03:54 to 04:22)

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes teamed up for a tag team match in WWE after their rivalry

After their feud at WrestleMania and the end of a legendary title reign, Roman Reigns went on a hiatus from WWE. This led to the rise of Solo Sikoa and his new incarnation of The Bloodline in the coming months.

A few months later, The Original Tribal Chief returned to the Stamford-based promotion and took out Solo Sikoa when the rising star was moments away from capturing the WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2024.

This led to a new feud between family, and Roman Reigns had no one to aid him in his journey. Later, Cody Rhodes agreed to help him, and the two teamed up for a tag team match at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta against The Bloodline's Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

In the end, Jimmy Uso returned, which allowed Reigns to hit Sikoa with a Spear and secure a win for his team. It'll be interesting to see if the two megastars have a third match for the title.
