CM Punk defeated Seth Rollins in the main event of the first edition of WWE RAW on Netflix. Rollins' long-term rival, Bronson Reed, reacted to Punk's off-camera gesture after the match.
Punk and Rollins pushed each other to the limits and put on a match-of-the-year contender. Eventually, Punk's Go To Sleep secured him the win. Post-match, he taunted Rollins by doing his signature "Go To Sleep" gesture. WWE posted a video of Punk's post-match actions on Instagram.
The video caught Reed's attention, and The Auszilla found the former WWE Champion's gesture quite funny.
Check out a screenshot of Reed's Instagram comment:
Several months ago, Reed attacked Rollins on Monday Night RAW, hitting him with six Tsunamis in the process. This led to a match at Crown Jewel which Rollins won. But Reed secured the win in the rematch, courtesy of an interference by The Bloodline.
The 36-year-old is sidelined with an injury he suffered during the Men's WarGames Match at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event.
Seth Rollins has opened up about his relationship with CM Punk before the latter departed WWE.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight in a recent interview, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion opened up about his efforts to get in touch with Punk. He said:
"We were friends till he left, you know. And we had a mentor-mentee kind of relationship, you know, at that point because I was a lot younger. So, like, I did not push. I sent him some texts and called him after he left but I wasn't, like, comfortable enough with him to like, because, like, we weren't, we were peers but he was here [up] and I was here [down]. So, I didn't wanna like push that envolope. So, after a while I just let it go."
WWE hasn't hinted or indicated if the CM Punk-Seth Rollins concluded after their showdown on WWE RAW.
