WWE recently uploaded an unseen backstage video of CM Punk and Paul Heyman from the latest edition of SmackDown. The Wiseman revealed the fifth member of Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline during the show.
On this week's SmackDown, Solo Sikoa's Bloodline kicked off the show and asked Roman Reigns' team to surrender as they were a man down for the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event. However, during the show's closing segment, everyone, including Reigns, was surprised to see Paul Heyman back on WWE television. The Wiseman did not come alone as he brought CM Punk with him, revealing the Best in the World as the OG Bloodline's fifth member for the 2024 Men's WarGames Match.
Following SmackDown, WWE's official YouTube channel posted unseen backstage footage of CM Punk and Paul Heyman moments before the latter introduced the former as the fifth member of Roman Reigns' WarGames team.
Check out the video below:
During a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown on Backstage Pass, former WWE head writer Vince Russo said that he believed CM Punk joining the OG Bloodline's WarGames team buried Seth Rollins, who is in a heated feud with Solo Sikoa's Bloodline's newest member, Bronson Reed.
Russo also mentioned that Punk becoming the fifth member of Roman Reigns' team did not make any sense in terms of the ongoing storyline:
"Now with Punk being the fifth guy, what did they do? They buried Rollins. They one hundred percent buried their babyface. Bronson joined The Bloodline; they wind up sc*ewing Rollins, and Rollins ain't gonna be in the match. So, they one thousand percent sc*ewed their babyface. It was so obvious. So now they pull CM Punk out of their backside to get the pop, but it makes zero sense storyline-wise."
It will be interesting to see who will come out on top between the OG Bloodline and Solo Sikoa's Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.
