Roman Reigns is arguably the biggest superstar in WWE today. Meanwhile, a WWE personality recently made a huge claim about the OTC's future as a competitor in the Stamford-based company.
Over the past few years, the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has transitioned into a part-time in-ring competitor. The 39-year-old has only wrestled six matches this year. He is scheduled to battle his cousin, Solo Sikoa, in Tribal Combat for the Ula Fala and the undisputed Tribal Chief status on the first edition of RAW on Netflix on January 6, 2025.
Speaking on his Cheap Heat podcast, analyst Peter Rosenberg claimed the OTC could return as a full-time talent next year. However, he predicted that if Reigns did not become a full-time wrestler by January 6, then it would never happen.
"Listen, it's gonna be time now where Roman's around full-time, no? If Roman isn't back as of January 6th full time, then I guess that we're in the era where he's never back full-time. I guess that just means he doesn't ever become a full-time wrestler anymore," he said. [29:01-29:17]
On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts discussed the upcoming clash between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa on RAW's season premiere on Netflix. The 41-year-old suggested a scenario that could see the OTC defeat The Street Champ and retrieve the Ula Fala.
However, Sam also proposed that The Rock could return after three months of absence to confront Reigns after the match. Notably, The Final Boss was last seen in the closing stages of the Bad Blood PLE this past October.
"Here's where I would do it. Roman Reigns beats Solo Sikoa and has the Ula Fala back as The Tribal Chief, but then The Rock shows up. And The Rock stares him down, gets in the ring, not in the aisle, gets in the ring, stares him down, and maybe, that's how we go off the show," he said.
It will be interesting to see if Reigns gets the Ula Fala back from Sikoa on January 6.
