Vince McMahon's prominence in the pro wrestling industry has not dwindled much over the years, although now he is making headlines for entirely different reasons. A veteran recently drew attention to a particular detail he had noticed in the Netflix Docuseries about McMahon.
Since he stepped down from his position in WWE, Vince McMahon has been bombarded with several allegations. The ring boy scandal, for instance, has been a major point of contention. Vince also addressed some of these topics in the Netflix docuseries.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo claimed that McMahon possibly never outright denied knowledge of some controversial activities. He said:
"Unless I am wrong, he never came out and said, 'I had no idea what was going on.' He never said that during the documentary. I mean he didn't. He never claimed innocence of not knowing what was going on. He definitely minimized it, but he never said, 'I had no idea that was going on.'" [7:21 onwards]
According to Vince Russo, the last few months have made it apparent that McMahon is paying his dues when it comes to repenting for his questionable choices.
On the same episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the WWE veteran stated:
"I really would hope he is very, very regretful... He is keeping a low profile, he has for a long time, and for all of us that know Vince, that is not Vince. He would be out there claiming his innocence and that's why but Vince, believe this or not man, I never saw Vince as a liar... If you notice, I mean, he has not said, 'I am innocent.' I mean he has not said that one time, so I would like to believe, man, he is just very, very, very regretful of some of the decisions he may have made for his life." [6:02 onwards]
As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for Vince McMahon down the line.
