The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a face-off between CM Punk and Roman Reigns. During the segment, both men expressed their mutual dislike for each other.
Reigns told Punk that he did not need his help. In return, The Best in the World replied that he was not there to aid him, rather, he teamed with them to punish Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline after what they had done to Heyman.
However, a particular point grabbed the WWE Universe's attention - when The Original Tribal Chief told Punk that he owed him one. In response, The Voice of Voiceless said that The Wiseman, Paul Heyman, owed him, not Reigns, which even confused the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
In this article, let’s take a look at four possible favors Paul Heyman could do for CM Punk in return for being the fifth member of OG Bloodline at WarGames.
During his last appearance on Monday Night RAW before going on a hiatus, Punk told fans that he was unsure what the future held for him. However, when Heyman reached out to Punk to join OG Bloodline as the final member for the WarGames match, it may not have been for nothing.
In return, Punk might have asked him to help him win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on RAW. While The Best in the World was still in a heated feud with Drew McIntyre, he expressed that he would be targeting Gunther and his title before he was pulled back into the storyline against McIntyre.
However, now that his business with McIntyre has seemingly concluded with him winning at Bad Blood, fans might see him involved in the title picture again, where Paul Heyman could assist him in winning the big gold.
In return for helping Roman Reigns at the WarGames match by being the fifth member, CM Punk could have had a deal with Paul Heyman to become his Wiseman on Monday Night RAW and leave Reigns and the Bloodline saga forever.
Punk dropped multiple hints about this theory when Roman Reigns questioned him on the blue brand upon his comeback last week. The Best in the World noted he was back for Paul Heyman, to which Reigns quipped Heyman was his Wiseman. CM Punk simply responded, “We'll see.”
Another subtle hint was dropped on the latest episode of the blue brand, where CM Punk referred to Paul Heyman as “Our Wiseman” to Roman Reigns during their face-to-face segment.
CM Punk has had an impressive career, and he has secured almost every accolade and championship in the Stamford-based promotion. However, the one thing he has yet to do and desires to do is compete in the main event of WrestleMania.
Last year, he came close to achieving this at 'Mania before he sustained a real-life injury that sidelined him for quite a while. This year, to ensure his main event spot at WrestleMania 41, he could have told Heyman that he would help Roman Reigns at WarGames.
Heyman's role, in return, could be to craft an easy path to the main event at The Showcase of the Immortals.
At their first-ever face-off on the latest episode of SmackDown, Punk mentioned that Roman Reigns needs his Ula Fala back and did not mention anything about the Undisputed WWE Championship that Reigns lost at WrestleMania 40.
However, in favor of being the fifth member of the OG Bloodline for the WarGames bout, Punk could have struck a deal with Paul Heyman that he would help him win the Undisputed WWE Title at The Show of Shows.
