WWE Superstar Jade Cargill has been forced out of in-ring action due to injury. A recent report provides more insight into The Storm's unfortunate injury.
On the November 22 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the 32-year-old was taken to a local medical facility after she was attacked by a mysterious attacker backstage. Cargill was scheduled to compete in the Women's WarGames Match at Survivor Series this weekend. However, due to her injury, The Storm will miss the premium live event. It was later reported that she was written off television to cover an actual injury.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the nature of Cargill's injury has been kept a very close secret to the point that even people up close to the Women's Tag Team Champion are unaware of it. The veteran journalist added that one or two of the injuries mentioned by WWE could be the actual ones.
"I was told three months minimum. Whatever the actual injury is, it’s being kept very secret. I’ve heard from several in the company who were aware of the injury, and they say not only do they not know what the injury is, but people who are very close to her don’t know what the injury is, but it is an injury. When I read that list [WWE’s list of injuries Jade suffered] I figured one or two of them is probably the real one, but I don’t know what one or two," Meltzer said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
This week on RAW, Bayley replaced Jade Cargill in the Women's WarGames match. The Role Model will team up with her former Damage CTRL member IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Rhea Ripley.
Jade Cargill's unfortunate injury while being one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion might force her partner Bianca Belair to give up the title.
Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, former RAW Interim General Manager Jonathan Coachman asserted that Belair would happily relinquish the title. The 51-year-old claimed that one does not make money in WWE as a tag team champion and should focus on establishing themselves individually instead.
"Bianca may be a great actress and she may act like she doesn't wanna give them up. She's happily gonna give up those Tag Team Titles. She doesn't care about them at all. You don't make money in WWE as a tag team champion of the world. You just don't. You gotta be on your own. You gotta be out there doing it," he said. [From 07:07 to 07:25]
