WWE SmackDown is set to air in less than one hour, and it appears another must-see action-packed episode is planned for tonight. With just over one week from the 38th annual Survivor Series Premium Live Event, officials have several swerves planned for the final build to the PLE. New spoiler details were just revealed for tonight's SmackDown, including the main event.
Tonight's loaded live SmackDown episode in Salt Lake City is set to feature a face-off between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, along with LA Knight defending the United States Championship against Santos Escobar. WWE also announced two women's division bouts for tonight: Bayley and Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae, and Chelsea Green vs. Bianca Belair vs. Blair Davenport in the tournament to crown the inaugural Women's United States Champion.
Backstage sources have revealed that Solo Sikoa is set to open tonight's SmackDown episode with a promo. Fightful Select adds that the Triple-Threat tournament match is scheduled to air next, followed by the United States Championship match. The plan is for Shinsuke Nakamura to appear on the big screen during the title match.
The face-off between KO and the Undisputed WWE Champion is currently booked to happen after Escobar vs. Knight, with a potential major Survivor Series announcement. The women's tag team match is scheduled next, followed by Montez Ford vs. Tommaso Ciampa in singles action.
The show-closing main event segment will feature members of The Bloodline building to WarGames. There aren't many details on the "Terms of Surrender" segment, but a WWE producer has been assigned to the same, which usually indicates there will be physicality. The Sikoa promo segment also has a producer assigned, but the face-off between Rhodes and Owens does not.
It remains to be seen what exactly WWE officials have planned for the Terms of Surrender segment. However, it was previously reported that major developments in the relationship between Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman are set to be unveiled tonight.
