The latest episode of Monday Night RAW saw Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu interfere in the Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed match, costing The Visionary his bout. The Usos and Sami Zayn ran out to stop any interference but the former World Heavyweight Champion suffered at the end of the night.
Previously on the show, Sami Zayn once again presented Rollins with an offer to be their fifth member at WarGames to eliminate their common enemies. However, Rollins denied the offer and expressed that he would never team up with Roman Reigns again.
Meanwhile, on the latest episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman made his much-awaited comeback, with CM Punk alongside as the final member of the OG Bloodline for the WarGames match.
However, CM Punk joining forces with Roman Reigns might bother Seth Rollins more than he lets on. While The Visionary rejected the offer to be part of OG Bloodline, he might still have plans to punish Bronson Reed at the premium live event. But Punk being the fifth member of Reigns’ faction and taking on the Auszilla might raise questions about Rollins’s standing on the current card.
Rollins could feel replaced by CM Punk, as he is trying to align himself with his former Shield brother and take over his position in the red brand by picking a fight against Bronson Reed. The point of Seth and Punk's feud was that The Visionary has been claiming that The Best in the World is selfish and only thinks about himself.
Following this, Seth Rollins could attempt to reform The Shield with Roman Reigns; the common threat could force former faction mates to come together. Punk shares a remarkable history with the Shield faction as he was the one who, alongside Paul Heyman, supposedly pitched the idea of the faction and wanted to be part of the stable.
However, the Stamford-based company never went in that direction, and the rest is history. This move by Rollins would kickstart the long-awaited feud against CM Punk, which could even lead to a match at WrestleMania 41.
Seth Rollins and CM Punk have taken shots at each other multiple times online and in interviews over the years. Upon Punk’s return last year at Survivor Series 2023, Seth Rollins seemed upset over the proceedings and even tried to attack The Best in the World before he was stopped by other superstars. The creative team reportedly even had plans to book Punk vs. Rollins for WrestleMania 40 before The Voice of Voiceless sustained an injury at Royal Rumble 2024.
Amid all this, fans wonder whether Seth Rollins actually hates CM Punk. The answer to this question is No - Both stars have had conflicts in the past but both have seemingly settled their differences. As some reports noted, Rollins and Punk are getting along well backstage, and the current heat between them is purely for the storyline.
It remains to be seen what plans Triple H and the creative team have in store for Punk vs. Rollins in the future.
