WWE NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez surprised her fans on Christmas as she revealed her new boyfriend. The 23-year-old superstar divulged that she is in a relationship with another WWE talent, Drake Morreaux. She was seen in cozy pictures with Morreaux uploaded on her Instagram account.
She was earlier in a relationship with another superstar, Gino Medina, whom she had been dating since 2022. With the disclosure of her new relationship, Perez has also indicated the end of her relationship with Medina.
As for Morreaux, he was earlier known as Beau Morris, and sometime back, the company had filed trademark for the ring name, Drake Morreaux.
He is yet to make his debut on NXT television and has performed at NXT Level Up. He has, however, performed on WWE SmackDown in February 2024, teaming up with Javier Bernal against The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar).
As for Roxanne Perez, she is the current face of the women's division at NXT. She signed with the promotion in 2022, and since then has won the NXT Women's Championship twice. She even defeated TNA Knockouts star, Jordynne Grace at NXT Battleground. She turned heel earlier this year when she attacked Lyra Valkyria at NXT Roadblock.
Booker T, who is Perez's former trainer and coach, spoke highly of the NXT Women's Champion. He stated that he knew from day one, when he saw her, that she had what it takes to become a top superstar in WWE.
"We know about Roxanne. No one expected her [to go] through the ashes and be the one. No one saw that rose rising up through the concrete and blossoming right there in the middle of I-45. That’s Roxanne Perez; No one saw that coming. Did I see that coming? I did. From day one, Roxanne at fantasy camp showed me how bad she wanted it. When she became a part of Reality of Wrestling, I was in awe of her talent and her work ethic," Booker T had said on his Hall of Fame podcast.
Former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley has also expressed her desire to square off against Roxanne Perez at WrestleMania 41. In an interview with Going Ringside, Bayley stated that although every top women wrestler in the promotion wants to face The Prodigy, she would like to be the first one to get her hands on the two-time NXT Women's Champion. It remains to be seen if Bayley will get her wish fulfilled at WrestleMania next year.
