WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax has accused Naomi, wife of WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso, of staging the attack on a fellow wrestler, Jade Cargill, on a recent episode of SmackDown. Jade Cargill was knocked down with serious injuries by some mysterious attacker on SmackDown, and she has been written off TV for the next few months.
While there has been no answer as to who did it, fingers have been pointed at Cargill's fellow WWE Superstar, Naomi. Nia Jax on X (formerly Twitter) backed the accusations against Naomi, pinning the blame on the former SmackDown Women's Champion.
"We all know you did it," The Irresistible Force wrote on X.
Naomi had earlier responded to the accusations, saying that the accusers would only come up with apologies when her name was cleared.
When the attack took place, Cargill's tag-team partner, Bianca Belair, was in the midst of a triple-threat qualifier match for the inaugural Women's United States Championship against Blair Davenport and Chelsea Green.
She left the match mid-way and rushed backstage, where Cargill was being loaded into the ambulance. Bianca told the SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, that she would accompany her partner to the hospital and got inside the ambulance.
Nick Aldis had been trying to ascertain who was behind the attack on Cargill but hasn't reached any conclusive end. He first reached out to Nia Jax, believing she from the opposite camp might have the knowledge of who actually did it.
Fingers have also been pointing at Cargill's own partner, Bianca, with many assuming that it was The EST of WWE who could have planned the attack. The two are also speculated to go into a massive rivalry ahead of WrestleMania 41.
However, nothing can be said as of now. However, we do have a new replacement for Cargill ahead of the Survivor Series: WarGames match.
[Spoilers ahead over Cargill's replacement at Survivor Series]
Since this week's episode of SmackDown was taped the previous week, it has been revealed that former SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley has replaced Jade Cargill for the Survivor Series: WarGames match.
Interestingly, Bayley and Naomi were standing right outside the ambulance when Jade Cargill was being rushed to the medical center. While one can't say that Bayley was the one behind the accident, suspicions have also been directed at the former SmackDown Women's Champion.
Since Bayley didn't have any match at Survivor Series, this could have been the only way for her to get into the WarGames match, which was by eliminating Cargill.
As for Cargill, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has reported that the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion could be out of action for nearly three months, and she may not be back until February. The puzzle of who attacked her will likely be solved when she returns to the company.
