Barcelona reportedly want to sell five players in next summer's transfer window as president Joan Laporta has asked sporting director Deco to make sales worth €80 million. As per SPORT, the players likely to be sold are Andreas Christensen, Eric Garcia, Pablo Torre, Frenkie de Jong, and Ansu Fati.
Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia are expected to leave the La Liga giants next summer if they sign a central defender. Meanwhile, Ansu Fati has failed to impress Hansi Flick, who is interested in bringing Nico Williams to Catalonia next summer. As per TEAMtalk, La Blaugrana are also preparing a swap deal including Ansu Fati for Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.
According to El Nacional, Hansi Flick is unhappy with Frenkie de Jong because the Dutch midfielder is not concerned about improving his performance. The former Ajax star has started only two matches for La Blaugrana across all competitions this season and has played only 362 minutes in 13 appearances.
De Jong is also one of the highest-paid players on the team and has played primarily from the bench. Additionally, the 27-year-old has also fallen down the pecking order and is behind Pedro, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, and Marc Casado.
Pablo Torre was earlier expected to leave the La Liga giants on a loan deal. However, as per the aforementioned report, he can leave La Blaugrana permanently next summer.
Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan David is close to joining Hansi Flick's Barcelona on a free transfer in the next summer transfer window, as per SPORT. Apart from La Blaugrana, Manchester United and Bayern Munich were also interested in signing the German centre-back.
Jonathan Tah joined Leverkusen from Hamburger SV in July 2015 and has since made 378 appearances across all competitions, bagging 16 goals and 12 assists. After spending almost 10 years at the club, the 28-year-old is expected to move to La Liga on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer of 2025.
Barcelona are expected to offer Tah a three-year deal, which is expected to be finalised in the upcoming weeks. His arrival at Camp Nou will reportedly be followed by the offloading of Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen.
