Robbie Fowler has urged Darwin Nunez to learn from Liverpool youngster Jayden Danns after their 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup Third Round. The Reds legend believes that the young forward showed a brilliant attitude on the pitch after coming on in the second half on Saturday.

Speaking on ITV, Fowler claimed that Danns showed a hunger for the goals and drove into the box to seal the win. He added that the youngster got every decision right in the build-up as well and said (via Rousing the Kop):

"His attitude is brilliant. I think he’s got a bit of everything in his armoury. What I love about him – and [Darwin] Nunez can learn something from this – he wants to get back into the box.
"He wins the ball and he’s got an incredible appetite and desire to get in the box after he’s passed it because he knows something might happen, the ball might come back to you. Surely it does and he finishes it into the Kop end to get his third Liverpool goal.”

The Reds beat Accrington Stanley 4-0 at Anfield to advance to the fourth round. Dioto Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold scored in the first half while Danns and Federico Chiesa scored in the second to help the Reds seal the win.

Robbie Fowler was on ITV during the first half and took shots at Darwin Nunez for his performance in the first half. He claimed that the Uruguayan was showing that he is not good enough to play for the Reds and said:

"We’re saying the same things now as we were two or three years ago. He’s raw, he’s this, he’s that. You can’t keep saying that. For me, the more I see him the more I think he’s not a Liverpool player.
"People might have a go at me for saying this because he works hard, you’re not signing a player because he works hard. That should be a prerequisite anyway. You’ve got to come here and score goals. I know he’s a fan favourite for what he puts in, but at the time we’re talking now you’ve got to perform better and do better in that Liverpool shirt."

Darwin Nunez has been linked with a move away from Anfield this month. However, the Reds are yet to receive a bid for the forward. He has scored just four goals and provided four assists in 26 games across competitions this season.
