Gareth Bale recently joked with Rio Ferdinand about the one sport Cristiano Ronaldo would struggle playing. The Portuguese legend is one of the greatest footballers ever and a phenomenal athlete, thanks to his dedication and physical prowess.

Ronaldo and Bale shared the pitch for 11,119 minutes across 157 games for Real Madrid and combined for 41 goals. The pair won one LaLiga title, one Copa del Rey, and four UEFA Champions League titles.

During a recent interview, Rio Ferdinand asked the Welshman whom he would like to play golf with, to which he replied (via Football on TNT Sports):

"Cristiano Ronaldo. It’d be funny to see."

The English defender, who played 17,233 minutes with the Portuguese icon across 221 games for Manchester United, cracked up and replied:

"That’s one thing I don’t think he can do is play golf."

Cristiano Ronaldo plays professionally at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. At 39 years old, he has the most goals in professional men's football — 915.

"I never had one single problem with anybody" - When Gareth Bale confirmed that he never had an issue with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid

In 2023, former Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale opened up on his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo at the Spanish club. The Welsh star was a crucial part of the team that won the UEFA Champions League thrice from 2015-16 to 2017-18.

Bale joined Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported €101 million fee in 2013 and spent nine years at the club before he joined LAFC in 2022. During an interview in July 2023, he reminisced on his time at the Spanish club and discussed his relationship with Ronaldo, telling The Times (via GOAL):

"The players were all good. I know people speak all this, that and the other [his relationship with Ronaldo] but I never had one single problem with anybody. I don’t think I ever had an argument with anyone. Even through the hard times, it was good in the changing room. I honestly really enjoyed my time there apart from the few moments where it was difficult on the pitch. I have no regrets. I made the right decision."

Gareth Bale retired from professional football in 2023 after spending six months in the MLS. He won five UEFA Champions League titles, three LaLiga crowns, one MLS Cup, and the MLS Supporters' Shield.
