Ruben Amorim gave a brilliant response to the controversy that ensued after Ed Sheeran interrupted the Manchester United head coach's interview. The Portuguese tactician spoke after a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town last Sunday (November 24).

Amorim was talking to United icon Roy Keane and other pundits on Sky Sports when Sheeran interrupted and spoke to Jamie Carragher. He was in a celebratory mood as an Ipswich fan, given the result.

The UK singer, famous for songs A-Team and Thinking out Loud, received criticism from fans for his antics. Amorim was asked about it during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Red Devils' Europa League game (via UtdDistrict):

"It was nothing special, I was with Roy Keane. He is the real star."

Sheeran apologized with a post on Instagram, but many felt he disrespected Amorim. The Portuguese tactician was already frustrated after watching Manchester United held to a draw at Portman Road.

Marcus Rashford gave Amorim a dream start with an opener inside the first minute. Omari Hutchinson hit back on the stroke of halftime and the game ended honors even.

Amorim is concentrating on United's clash with Norweigan outfit Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday (November 28). It will be his first home game in charge at Old Trafford.

One player Manchester United fans hoped to see in action after the November international break was Leny Yoro. The 19-year-old French defender arrived from LOSC Lille in the summer but picked up a serious foot injury during pre-season.

Yoro was involved in Amorim's first training session last week but was absent ahead of the Bodo/Glimt game. His coach gave an update on the situation (via centredevils):

"He is training but for fitness. We believe a lot in him and we are preparing the best way to start with Leny."

Yoro is tipped to become a starter under Amorim in a back three. He excelled in a similar role at Lille before arriving at Old Trafford.

The returns of Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez have boosted Amorim. The defensive duo were absent in the draw against Ipswich, but the latter is expected to make the squad for Bodo/Glimt.

Maguire isn't anticipated to return for the game but still took part in training. Amorim is starting to get his squad fit as his reign at Manchester United gets well underway.
