Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale has weighed in on Mohamed Salah's contract situation at Liverpool. This comes after the Egyptian legend opened up about the uncertainty surrounding his future at the club.

Salah met with reporters after the Reds' 3-2 Premier League win over Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium on November 24, making it clear that he wanted to stay. However, he admitted that the club had yet to submit an offer to him and his representatives (via Sky Sports):

"Well, we are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay in the club. I'm probably more out than in... As I said before, it is December and I haven't received anything yet about my future."

However, Gareth Bale believes that Salah's contract will get sorted out, but that the legendary Egyptian just wants to get more money. Speaking ahead of Liverpool's 2-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid at Anfield on November 27, Bale said to TNT Sports (via Eurosport):

"We never brought those things into conversation, it’s always about training or general life. I can’t imagine that’s going to affect anyone, it’s going to be sorted out upstairs with his agent. I’m sure he’s just making noise to just get a bit more money to be honest!"

Liverpool will hope that they can hold onto Mohamed Salah, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season. The Egyptian has been one of their most important players this season, providing 12 goals and 10 assists in 19 games across competitions.

Jamie Carragher questions Salah's decision to speak on Liverpool contract ahead of Real Madrid clash

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has questioned Mohamed Salah's decision to speak about his contract situation at the club. He believes that the Egyptian should be focused on winning matches and trophies with the Reds, rather than talking about his contract.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher said (via Sky Sports):

"I'm desperate for them [Salah and the Reds] to meet in the middle, but I must say I am very disappointed with Mo Salah. That interview yesterday after the game and it comes out today. Liverpool have got Real Madrid midweek and they've got Manchester City at the weekend."

The Reds will be glad that they got the win over Real Madrid, their first since 2009, despite the current conversation about Salah's future. However, they will need to prepare for their upcoming Premier League game against Manchester City (Anfield, December 1). A win for Arne Slot's men would increase their lead over the Cityzens to 11 points.
