Real Madrid and Manchester United are interested in signing Inter Milan defender Federico Dimarco in the summer transfer window, as per Italian outlet Inter Live. Dimarco is an Inter academy product.
The Italian defender has played on loan for Parma, Hellas Verona, Empoli, and Ascoli. Dimarco also joined FC Sion in July 2017, but his time in Switzerland was brief as Inter Milan signed him again in the summer of 2018.
The 27-year-old has made 156 appearances for Inter Milan's senior team, scoring 17 goals and providing 38 assists across competitions. In the last few seasons, Federico Dimarco has become a crucial player for Nerazzurri. His performances have earned him the attention of multiple top European clubs, including Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid and Ruben Amorim's Manchester United.
The Red Devils have already enquired about the 27-year-old while Los Blancos are reportedly preparing a deal to sign him next summer. Dimarco's ongoing contract with Inter will expire in the summer of 2027 as he last penned a deal with the Serie A giants in December 2023.
Los Blancos are also linked with AC Milan's Theo Hernandez as their primary target Alphonso Davies is expected to sign a new deal with Bayern Munich. Carlo Ancelotti aims to sign an upgrade for French defender Ferland Mendy and Dimarco's transfer fee is expected to be around €70 million.
Meanwhile, United are keen to bring a replacement for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, who have been sidelined due to multiple injuries.
As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid have reportedly decided not to pursue the signing of Benfica defender Antonio Silva. The Portuguese centre-back has also been linked with Ruben Amorim's Manchester United. The La Liga giants could be forced to recruit new defenders in the winter transfer window due to an injury crisis.
As per the aforementioned report, the Red Devils are ready to pay around €75 million for the Benfica defender. However, Real Madrid are unwilling to match that estimation.
Los Blancos have been keeping a close eye on the Portuguese defender for the last few years.
The 21-year-old is an academy product of Benfica and his current contract with the Portuguese giants will expire in June 2027. Silva has made 106 appearances for Benfica's senior team, bagging eight goals and one assist across all competitions.
