Noussair Mazraoui arrived at Old Trafford on a four-year deal from Bayern Munich in August. The Morocco International has contributed to seven clean sheets and registered two assists in 19 appearances across competitions for Manchester United so far.
Ruben Amorim shared his thoughts on his first home match after being appointed as Manchester United's head coach.
The Red Devils' 3-2 win against Bodø/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League marked to be the Portuguese manager's first victory since taking charge in November. He made his managerial debut for the Premier League giants in their 1-1 away draw with Ipswich Town on November 24.
Speaking about his experience in his first match in charge at Old Trafford, Amorim mentioned how welcoming the fans were and said (via @FabrizioRomano on X):
"The fans made me feel at home! It’s so special. Half of the stadium doesn't really know me... I came from Portugal. I did nothing for this club yet. The way they make me feel at home, it is something special and I will keep it until the end of my career."
Ruben Amorim also opined on his squad's performance in the Europa League clash and told TNT Sports (via BBC):
"Like a real ride. We started well, but then suffered two goals in two transitions. I like the way the players tried to play our game. Sometimes we won the ball and have had problems in the past giving the ball away too much - the mindset is keeping the ball. They are really trying and I think we deserved the win."
In their 3-2 win against Bodø/Glimt, Manchester United maintained a ball possession of 72% while creating five big chances and had six shots on target.
