Fans have slammed Vinicius Junior for receiving a red card in Real Madrid's 1-1 draw against Valencia. The winger was held fairly quietly throughout the 79 minutes he spent on the pitch by Los Ches. His four shots at goal did not find the mark, and he notably missed a big chance.

In the 76th minute, the Brazil international was tackled cleanly in the box, with the Valencia defense clearing the ball away. While getting up from the ground, though, Vinicius was taunted by Los Ches goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski.

The winger reacted by getting up and shoving the shot-stopper near the face, and Dimitrievski fell to the pitch. Referee Cesar Soto Grado headed to the VAR monitor to review the incident and, despite showing the goalkeeper a yellow card for his antics, he showed Vinicius the red card.

The 24-year-old winger was furious and had to be dragged into the tunnel by his teammates and other officials to avoid further severe sanctions. Fans took to social media afterward to question his maturity and temperament with comments like these:

"Wtf is he doing [three facepalm emojis]" a fan demanded.
"ur a grown man stop acting like a child ffs" another slammed the winger.
"Vinicius’ level of indiscipline is over the roof." a third noted.
"I hate his main character syndrome man, stop wanting all the attention" a fourth was not pleased.
"Great player. The best. But he will never grow up as a person." a fifth complained.
"He needs to be benched. His attitude is disgraceful" this fan said.
"As much we support vini he needs to stop doing shii like this and putting the team in a worser situation in matches like this, he’s not emotionally intelligent [clown emoji]" another fan admitted.

10-men Real Madrid clinch win over Valencia, despite Vinicius' red card

It was a thrilling match at Estadio de Mestalla, as a 10-man Real Madrid side scored two goals to come back and beat Valencia. Hugo Duro scored the first goal of the game in the 27th minute after he was in the right place at the right time to fire a rebound into the back of the net from close range.

Kylian Mbappe was fouled in the box in the second half, leading to a penalty for Los Blancos. However, Jude Bellingham, who took the effort from 12 yards in the 55th minute, hit the post and Valencia cleared the rebound.

Only minutes later (60 '), Mbappe found the net with an impressive effort, but he was adjudged to be offside after a VAR check. After Vinicius Jr. went off for violent conduct, Real Madrid seemed to sit up and take on their opponents, and it proved to be a game-changer.

Substitute Luka Modric found the equalizer in the 85th minute, thanks to an assist from Jude Bellingham. The Real Madrid playmaker then pounced on a poor back pass and put the ball beyond the goalkeeper in the game's closing minutes (90+5').
