Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku's agent, Pini Zahavi, has reportedly offered the forward to La Liga giants Barcelona ahead of the winter transfer window.

Nkunku, 26, has failed to establish himself as a vital starter for Chelsea since arriving from RB Leipzig in a £52 million switch in the summer of 2023. He has started just two Premier League matches, featuring in 308 minutes, this campaign.

Despite his limited game time in the Premier League, the Paris Saint-Germain youth product has been in great form in the ongoing 2024-25 season. He has scored 12 goals, including two in the Premier League, and registered four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions for his current club.

Now, according to SPORT, Zahavi has offered his client to Barcelona on loan with the January transfer window opening in less than 10 days. He has insisted that the forward could be open to adjusting his salary to fit Barcelona's budget.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are thought to be unwilling to enter the upcoming transfer market due to their poor financial situation. Despite their alleged stance, the Blaugrana are keeping tabs on Nkunku, who has drawn interest from Napoli.

Should Nkunku secure a temporary move to Barcelona, he could prove to be a good addition to their ranks. The 14-cap France international would provide brilliant competition at both the number nine role and the left-sided winger role.

Alan Shearer rates Chelsea's title chances

Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer provided his two cents on the ongoing Premier League title race. He said (h/t Metro):

"Arne Slot has done an amazing job at Liverpool. They've been brilliant and they've got so many options in so many positions. The big surprise obviously is Manchester City and what's happened to them. I can't see Liverpool going away now."

Shearer, who is a one-time Premier League winner, concluded:

"I'm not convinced Chelsea will be where they are at this moment at the end of the season, I could be wrong. I'm going for Liverpool. They've got so many options. They are strong in every position."

Chelsea, who finished sixth under Mauricio Pochettino last campaign, have been in fine form under new head coach Enzo Maresca. They are second in the 2024-25 Premier League table with 35 points from 17 matches, losing just twice.

On the other hand, Liverpool are atop the Premier League table with 39 points from 16 games. Arsenal are third with 33 points from 17 league games.
