Manchester United could reportedly receive a boost in the transfer race to rope in Barcelona star Dani Olmo, who is in danger of leaving due to his side's financial difficulties.

Olmo, who helped Spain lift the UEFA Euro 2024 earlier this year, has emerged as a huge topic of discussion over the last few weeks. He joined Barcelona in a potential £52 million deal from RB Leipzig in the summer and was registered on a six-month arrangement owing to his side's ongoing financial struggles.

The 41-cap Spain international's temporary contract at Barcelona will expire on December 31, meaning he could potentially depart as a free agent soon. To retain the midfielder's services, the Catalans are in a legal battle with the La Liga.

According to Spanish website SPORT, the Commerical Court of Barcelona is likely to deliver a verdict to determine if Olmo can continue to play for Hansi Flick's outfit this Friday. Should the court decide to be in favour of the La Liga, the Blaugrana would be forced to let go of the star in the winter transfer window.

Although Olmo is reportedly aiming to stay at Barcelona, his agent Andy Bara is exploring the transfer market for potential new clubs. Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal are all keen to sign the Spanish attacking midfielder.

So far this campaign, the former Dinamo Zagreb man has started nine of his 15 appearances across competitions for Barcelona. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has netted six goals and laid out an assist for his current club so far.

Ruben Amorim asserts 21-year-old Manchester United star has room to improve as an attacker

Ahead of his team's 2-0 league loss at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim shared his thoughts on Rasmus Hojlund. He said (h/t Tribal Football):

"He has the pace, is strong and can score goals. He scores a lot of difficult goals and that is a very important thing as a player. But he has a lot to improve. I think he is sometimes too eager to show everything because he is a young guy who wants this very much. In the future, we want to help Rasmus become a better player."

Hojlund, 21, has struggled to shine in the Premier League this season, scoring just two goals in 13 matches so far. However, the Denmark international has netted five goals and provided an assist in six UEFA Europa League games this term.

Overall, Hojlund has scored 23 goals in 64 overall outings for his club.
