Manchester United are willing to offload Antony for just £40m, according to The Daily Mail. The Brazilian forward joined the Red Devils from Ajax in the summer of 2022 in a reported £86m deal.

Antony was a rising star in the Eredivisie and followed Erik ten Hag to Old Trafford. He was expected to take the Premier League by a storm, but never lived up to the billing.

The 24-year-old has scored just 12 goals and set up five more from 86 games across all competitions. He is no longer a first team regular for Manchester United, with Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho now ahead of him in the pecking order at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have run out of patience with the Brazilian and are ready to let him go in 2025. The club have slashed their asking price for the player in a bid to move him on.

Manchester United are even willing to consider a loan exit in January, with the hopes that regular play time can help elevate the player's stocks. That could help the club fetch a fair fee for the Brazilian next summer. Antony has one goal from four appearances this season for the Red Devils.

Manchester United have struggled to find the back of the net this season, managing just eight goals in seven games in the Premier League. The Red Devils secured the services of Joshua Zirkzee this summer to bolster their attack.

However, the Dutchman has failed to live up to expectations so far. Zirkzee started his Old Trafford tenure with a debut goal against Fulham.

Unfortunately, the 23-year-old has failed to find the back of the net since. Manchester United have won just three of their 11 games across all competitions this season, and lost four.

Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojlund is yet to build on his decent debut season. The Dane missed the start of this campaign with a hamstring injury and has scored one goal from five games so far for the Red Devils.

Erik ten Hag is under tremendous pressure following a disastrous start to the campaign. A managerial change could be on the cards if results fail to improve in the coming weeks.

United could also be tempted to sign a new No. 9 in 2025 to address their goalscoring woes. Recent reports have suggested that they have their eyes on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
