Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro amid links to Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. Los Blancos are seemingly looking for a new player in the full-back slot, with Dani Carvajal injured for an extended period.
Moreover, Carvajal is now 32 years old and is contracted with the Spanish giants till the summer of 2026. Therefore, it seems an appropriate time for Carlo Ancelotti and company, to look for a new long-term prospect in this position.
According to SPORT, one of those options seems to be the aforementioned Spurs defender, Porro. Under his current coach, the Spain international enjoys the license to get forward and contribute heavily in attack.
This campaign, the 25-year-old former Sporting star has made 14 appearances, across competitions, bagging two goals and as many assists. It certainly won't be cheap to acquire the services of Porro, given that he's contracted in north London till the summer of 2028.
However, not many can say no when the mighty Real Madrid come calling. A move to Santiago Bernabeu gives anyone a wonderful opportunity to compete for top honors regularly.
Last season, the Madrid-based side managed to win the UEFA Champions League and LaLiga trophies. Porro would also get to play alongside some of the biggest stars in world football, including Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.
To date, the right-back has made 68 appearances across competitions for Spurs, bagging nine goals and 12 assists.
Arsenal are reportedly set to reject any approach from Real Madrid for their defender William Saliba. According to Football Transfers, the Gunners won't entertain any offers for the France international in January, regardless of the fee offered (via SportsMole).
The 23-year-old has become a standout name in Europe in recent times, owing to his incredible performances alongside defensive partner Gabriel. As a result, it isn't surprising to see a top side like Real Madrid seek his services, given their issues in the central defensive department.
At the moment, Eder Militao and David Alaba are injured, creating a real shortage of centre-halves in the Spanish capital. However, it looks as though Los Blancos will have to look elsewhere if they are to secure a solution in the near future.
Saliba has made 100 appearances for Arsenal to date, bagging five goals and two assists. He's contracted at the Emirates till the summer of 2027.
