Liverpool have identified Real Madrid's Rodrygo Goes as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah, according to Fichajes.net. The Egyptian forward is in the final year of his contract with the Reds and hasn't signed a new deal yet.

Salah revealed in a recent interview that he is yet to receive a renewal proposal. The 32-year-old also hinted that he could be on his way out of Anfield next year.

The Premier League giants have now sprung into action to address the situation. They have identified Rodrygo as an option to fill Salah's boots if the player leaves.

The Brazilian's future at Real Madrid has been subject to speculation since Kylian Mbappe's arrival this summer. Rodrygo has registered three goals and two assists from 15 games across competitions for Los Blancos this season. His contract runs until 2028 but Liverpool are ready to test the LaLiga giants' resolve with a considerable offer.

Trent Alexander-Arnold warned about Real Madrid move by former player

Former Liverpool forward Michael Owen has warned Trent Alexander-Arnold about the perils of a move to Real Madrid. The English right-back has entered the final year of his contract with the Reds and is yet to sign a new deal.

It is now an open secret that Los Blancos want him at the Santiago Bernabeu. As Alexander-Arnold continues to stall a renewal, it becomes more and more likely that he will leave Anfield in 2025.

However, speaking to The Athletic, Owen cited his own example to claim that the 26-year-old risks becoming a tradeable asset.

“Once you’ve moved once and you’re not in the place everyone assumes you are never going to move on from, you almost become a tradable asset. I never grew up wanting to play for Real Madrid but it’s an honour I did. I grew up wanting to play for Liverpool," Owen said.

He continued:

“Once you move, you lose that absolute attachment to your club and you become a trading proposition. You lose the glue you once had, going from contract to contract, because you aren’t playing for the team you support. You’re just a player trying to do well for a specific club. It means more than that when you’ve come through the ranks.”

Alexander-Arnold has reportedly been identified as the long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Arsenal eyeing Los Blancos duo

Arsenal have set their sights on Arda Guler and Endrick, according to The Independent. The report said Kylian Mbappe's arrival this summer may have had a negative impact on Real Madrid's squad.

The Frenchman joined the LaLiga champions as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). His arrival has caused a reshuffle in the starting XI and the likes of Endrick and Guler have paid the price.

The Brazilian also joined Real Madrid this summer but has managed just one start in 11 outings. Guler, meanwhile, has 13 appearances to his name this season, but only four of them have been starts.

Both players are highly rated in the European circuit and won't have any shortage of suitors if they want to leave. Arsenal are plotting to prise the duo away by offering them regular game time.
