How to watch Bagman (2024) at home? Digital release date, platforms, and more
Directed by Colm McCarthy, Bagman is a supernatural horror film that underwent a theatrical release across the US on September 20, 2024. The movie stars Antonia Thomas, Sam Claflin, and Carell Vincent Rhoden, and revolves around a father who is once again haunted by a sinister entity he first met during his childhood.
Bagman has the following official synopsis, and has a script written by John Hulme:
“When a sinister threat from his childhood returns to haunt him, a father desperately struggles against his deepest inner fear. Only this time, the fight isn't for himself; it's for his family.”
The movie opened to less than favorable reviews, and currently has an IMDB rating of just 4.8. It also has only average reviews on Rotten Tomatoes thus far, and is now set for a digital and VOD release.
Starting from October 18, 2024, Bagman will be available for purchase and rental on multiple platforms. This includes Amazon, Apple TV, and Google Play.
Bagman set for digital release less than a month after its theatrical release
Lionsgate recently announced that Bagman will be available for digital release and purchase on multiple platforms, starting from October 18. Viewers will be able to purchase/rent the movie via VOD and Electronic Sell-Through on multiple platforms.
The sell-through price for Bagman is $13.49, while the VOD price is set at $6.99. Both options will give users access to the movie in the Dolby Digital 5.1 widescreen format, and will be available with English and Spanish subtitles.
Further, the movie is already available for pre-order on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Vudu, and Google Play. The digital release price for the movie has been set at $14.99. Hence, Bagman is soon set to be available for viewers at home, both via a direct purchase, and as a rental.
The movie has not been received favorably by viewers and critics. Colm McCarthy, known for his work on Peaky Blinders and The Girl with All the Gifts, created a unique narrative with respect to his latest work.
Bagman revolves around Patrick McKee, a family man who had survived a close encounter with the iconic Bagman as a child. However, this time around, the same entity is back to haunt him and his family. This puts the well-being of his wife Karina, played by Antonia Thomas, and his son, Jake played by Carrell Rhoden, under threat.
The movie will therefore see a doting father and husband attempt to escape the wrath of the mythical creature.

Despite the unfavorable reviews, Bagman boasts of a unique narrative, which has benefitted from Colm McCarthy’s eerie style of filmmaking. The movie’s poor ratings have led to a speedy release on VOD, where it may as well get a new lease of life.
