Bruce Springsteen's life will be the subject of Scoot Cooper's biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, which follows Springsteen in the early '80s when he was writing his sixth solo album titled Nebraska. The Bear star Jeremy Allen White will be playing the younger Springsteen in the upcoming biopic, and the 75-year-old "the Boss" shared his approval of White's vocal talents for the biopic.

On his Thursday, January 2, 2025, appearance on Jim Rotolo's Sirius XM E Street Radio, Bruce Springsteen said that it was "a little" weird to see someone play a younger version of him, at least in the beginning. However, he approve of White's singing in the biopic, saying:

"He sings well, he sings very well."

Back on June 25, 2024, Jeremy Allen White confirmed to Variety that he would be singing and playing the guitar in Deliver Me From Nowhere. The Bear actor also told the same in his GQ profile in August 2024, adding that he had been watching hours of videos of the rock star and that people have been helping him "train vocally, musically" for his role. He said that listening to Springsteen's speaking and listening voice has been "the deal" to prepare for the biopic.

As for Springsteen, he shared his excitement about the upcoming feature with Rotolo, saying that the project comes with a great cast. Besides praising White's vocal chops, he said:

"And Jeremy Strong and Odessa Young, there's just a tremendous cast of people. They cast the film beautifully so, it's very exciting."

Bruce Springsteen further praised Jeremy Allen White's acting chops for Deliver Me From Nowhere

Elsewhere in his appearance on Jim Rotolo's E Street Radio for Sirius XM, Bruce Springsteen didn't hold back in saying what he thought of Jeremy Allen White's acting talent. He said:

"Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it."

White has worked on numerous projects in film and television, including Cornflower, Shameless, The Iron Claw, and the series The Bear, which earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards. As for playing the younger Bruce Springsteen in the biopic, the rock star had nothing but praises for White's performance. He told Rotolo:

"He's got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize. He's just done a great job, so I've had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there."

Speaking of Bruce Springsteen being on the set of Deliver Me From Nowhere, Jeremy Allen White previously told GQ in August 2024 that one of the things that helped him prepare for the biopic was his "access" to the rock star. He said:

"I'm also really lucky [that] Brice is really supportive of the film, and so I've had some access to him and he's just the greatest guy."

Besides White, Deliver Me From Nowhere will also star Marc Maron, Gabby Hoffman, and David Krumholtz. Hoffman will play Springsteen's mother, Adelle, Krumholtz is slated to play record label exec Al Teller, who oversaw Nebraska's release, and Maron will play music producer Chuck Plotkin, who mastered the album.

The cast also includes Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, Harrison Gilbertson, Johnny Cannizzaro, and Stephen Graham. There's no confirmed release date for the biopic yet, but it's expected to come out in 2025.
